He was appointed as a board member of BDO Global at the general meeting in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on 24 October this year.
Norway is the eighth largest member country in BDO, measured by turnover. The BDO network consists of 166 member countries. The current board now comprises nine representatives.
- We want to be present where we can make an impact, and this is a recognition of Norway’s important position within the BDO network, says Aasen.
He adds that BDO possesses significant international expertise and capacity that many of our clients will benefit from.
- This potential can be realised to an even greater extent,” says Aasen
He emphasises that the international board position will not affect his roles at BDO Norway.
- This role will involve more responsibility and travel. However, I have a strong support system and excellent leaders around me, so it is compatible with my duties as the head of BDO Norway, he says.
