Kristen Elstad is responsible for our offices in Lillestrøm, Kongsvinger, Jessheim, Hamar, Lillehammer, and Gjøvik, but is primarily based in Jessheim.
Kristien is a State Authorised Public Accountant, educated at the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH). He has 30 years of experience as an auditor for businesses in Oslo, Akershus, and Innlandet, with industry expertise in construction, real estate, and retail.
Kristen has maintained a stable client portfolio for many years and is frequently engaged in large assignments for owner-managed companies. In addition to his role as auditor, Kristen is known for being a valuable sparring partner for both management and boards, maintaining close relationships with his clients. He is accredited as a sustainability auditor and is involved in both assurance and advisory services related to a new, complex, and extensive regulatory framework. Furthermore, Kristen is also approved to audit public interest entities and financial statements prepared in accordance with IFRS.
Through his responsibilities at BDO, Kristen is part of several leadership teams within the company – both service-specific and the regional leadership group with a focus on business development. He is also engaged as a mentor for BDO’s future advisors and frequently lectures at business seminars, covering both technical topics and business development, including the use of AI in the corporate sector.
