Pål Alfstad Haug works in Consulting at BDO in Oslo.
Pål heads the Business Transformation department and also serves as the national lead for Digital Advisory. He has worked as a consultant since 2008, primarily in roles as project manager, change manager, and test manager within ICT projects and large-scale transformations and reforms across both the public and private sectors. His industry expertise spans oil & gas, renewable energy, telecommunications, and a wide range of public sector organisations.
Pål holds a Master of Science in Computer Engineering from NTNU and has technical experience from development teams on the supplier side. Through hands-on project work, he has held roles across all phases of ICT system development – including needs analysis and requirements specification, procurement, development and testing, implementation and rollout, production deployment, operations and maintenance, as well as contract and vendor management. In recent years, Pål has worked as a project manager and advisor on the client side, primarily in change projects involving major technology components.
Pål is certified in Prince2 Practitioner, PROSCI Change Management, MSP, MoP, and LEAN Six Sigma. He is an experienced speaker and trainer, delivering courses in areas such as AI and project management.
He has a strong interest in technology and how it can be applied across all areas of society to create simpler, better, and more efficient services for employees, citizens, and customers.
