How to setup the integration between Business NXT and BDO’s data warehouse. You only need to do these steps once.
1) A user needs roles "Application access", "System supervisor" and "Administrator" to setup the integration, this can be given in Visma Business NXT Admin.
2) Go to Access management:
3) Press "New group" and create a group with an optional name, for example "isv_bdo" and then press "Create group":
4) Proceed to the newly created group to administer access rights.
First highlight all tables and then turn off "View table".
5) Give "View table" access to the following tables:
- Accounting period
- Associate
- Company
- Company information
- Currency
- Customer transaction
- General ledger account
- General ledger transaction
- Matched customer transaction
- Matched supplier transaction
- Organisational unit 1-12
The names of these tables may vary and can be found under Company information: - Supplier transaction
- VAT code
- Voucher type
6) Go to "Menu", "Create new layout" and press "New element" and choose "Table".
Select "User", and include the column "Connect application":
7) Press "New element" to also add table "Connect application access".
8) Move the tables around so you can access both tables and then turn off "Design Mode" toggle at the top.
9) In the User table click on "New" and write "isv_bdo_heartbeat" directly in the cell and check the box for "Connect application". Press Save.
10) In the Connect application access table click "New" and add the user "isv_bdo_heartbeat". You can either double click in the cell to search for the user or write directly in the cell.
Then double click in the cell "Company no." to look up the company we want to give access to.
Double click the cell "Access group no." to look up the access group we created in step 3. Press Save.
This view can be adjusted later to add more companies that BDO should get access to or remove our access.
