BDO has provided buy-side financial due diligence in relation to Hellik Teigen's acquisition of a 30 % stake in Green Yard Group
Hellik Teigen Gruppen is one of the country's largest and leading players in the environmental recycling of iron, metal and electronic waste. The group is also a major player in demolition, decommissioning and environmental remediation of all types of steel industrial constructions, and has taken part in several of the largest demolition contracts in Norway. The group's facilities in Western Norway are specially adapted for the dismantling of ships and offshore structures.
The Green Yard group's strategy of offering new builds, repairs, retrofitting and recycling of ships, in addition to rig service, remains firm. With the goal of being the greenest player in the industry, the shipyards in Green Yard follow boats "from start to finish" in the most sustainable way possible, and have proven that there is good profitability in the group's business model within the circular economy.
The group has grown significantly since its establishment in 2018, and is now gearing up for further growth with a private placement of Hellik Teigen AS.
